Accommodations

Although all travellers are free to pick and choose an independent hotel of their preferred choice, the organising committee is pleased to offer a special accommodation rate for two hotels, on a first come first serve basis. All rates are for double rooms in both individual use (price-1) and double use (price-2), breakfast buffet included.

Please note that the number of available rooms for each hotel, at the mentioned special rates, decreases as reservations roll in, so we encourage you to complete your registration and book a room as soon as possible, before the hotels run out of vacancies.

Hotel Cándido ****

100 available rooms for the conference.

Hotel Cándido 4* will serve as the hotel of reference during all the length of the Conference. It is, therefore, our hotel of choice and will be the main meeting point before we head out for the field trips.

It was inaugurated in 2006 and will serve as the main headquarters of the 2025 edition of the EUSTAFOR Conference.

It is located just a 10-minute bus drive away from the bullet train station Segovia Guiomar and about a 10-minute drive away from the historic centre of Segovia.

Built in the shape and form of a medieval castle and a renaissance palace, the hotel consists of spacious common areas, comfortable rooms, a magnificent Spa, a summer swimming pool, several restaurants and cafeterias, large terraces and gardens, meeting rooms of different sizes, and a conveniently large parking lot. All rooms have their individual air-conditioning installed for better comfort of clients during the summer months.

Hotel Puerta de Segovia 4* is a 15 minutes drive away from the bullet train station Segovia Guiomar and about a 10-minute drive away from the historic center of Segovia.

It offers spacious, comfortable and bright rooms, with a modern and colourful style. All rooms have air conditioning units and all the necessary services for the optimal comfort of their guests.

(ONLY FOR THOSE LODGED IN PUERTA DE SEGOVIA)

Those who are hosted in this hotel will be picked up every morning and taken to Hotel Cándido after having breakfast. Likewise, all guests will be transferred back to their hotel every afternoon or evening once the field trips and/or dinners are finalized.

Segovia is located 100 km from Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, Spain’s biggest airport and main gateway into central Spain.

Travelling from the airport to Segovia

From the airport, international travellers have different options at their disposal to get to Segovia. However, since direct taxi could be expensive and car rental might not be an option, our recommended itinerary is the following:

– Travelling by train: Terminal 4 to Chamartín-Clara Campoamor Bullet Train Station

Approximate travel time 15 minutes.

Once travellers have made it to the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, they will have to make their way to Terminal 4.

Depending on which terminal you fly into, you will have to commute to Terminal 4. There are free buses between all terminals 24 hours a day. If in need, please look for one of the Airport staff to help guide you. More info here:

Once in Terminal 4, buy a one-way ticket for train line C1 in one of the available train-ticket machines inside the terminal (cost of 1&2 zones = 1,70 €). Then you will hop on the next available train to get to Chamartín-Clara Campoamor (3rd stop from T4). There is one connection train every 25 minutes. For more information visit:

Train to Segovia-Guiomar

Average travel time: 35 minutes

Departure: Take one of the multiple available bullet trains that connect Chamartín-Clara Campoamor train station with Segovia-Guiomar station. Approximate train travel time 35 minutes. Available tickets may vary in price depending on the time slots. Although you will likely be able to buy a ticket on the spot for the next available train, if you wish, you can visit the following website for early booking:

Segovia Guiomar Train Station 3 Eustafor 2025

This short train commute does not require any intermediate stops, just be aware that you MUST hop off at the first stop “Segovia Guiomar” train station. Otherwise, you will keep going all the way to Valladolid, a city 123 km from Segovia.

Train frequency is variable, depending on the days of the week. Available tickets may vary in price depending on the time slots. For your convenience we have pre-filtered the timetables of all trains available on Tuesday June 3rd.

Travelling from Segovia Guiomar Train Station to Hotel Cándido & Hotel Puerta de Segovia

Option 1

Complimentary transfers: The organiser is providing free transportation with coaches/buses designated for the event. All attendees will be greeted by a member of our organising team to guide them to the available buses as each traveller arrives into Segovia-Guiomar.

Please note that the departure times of these complimentary buses will be variable and dependant on the travel details (arrivals) of all the conference participants. Some waiting periods at the train station in between buses may apply.

Option 2

Taxi from Train Station to the hotel.

There is a proper taxi hub outside of the train station, with plenty of taxis readily available if this should be your preferred option.

Option 3

If you plan to extend your stay or if you are coming with any companions (family members, spouse, etc.) you can rent a car at the car rental counter located at the Train Station.

If you go for option 3, there is free parking available on-site at the hotel; however, the number of spaces could be limited. Please, make sure you indicate in your registration form that you will be coming in your own vehicle and that you will need for a parking spot at destination (extra fees may apply) to avoid potential parking problems.
